Long White Gypsy is back in 2020 with the South Island leg of Te Araroa! Showered, brushed and well fed, Michelle leaves Pelorus Bridge Camp in this episode to set out for the first real wilderness section of the South Island - the Pelorus River Track. A substantial road walk to the start of the track results in a long afternoon to Captains Creek Hut featuring plenty of real South Island swing bridge crossings! After a restful night's sleep alone in the hut, Michelle makes the most of the next day's hiking to Rocks Hut and the biggest climb yet.
