You do not want to spend the rest of your life doing what you're doing right now. It probably doesn't make you happy. It's probably not the thing that you're passionate about and you'd much rather be 80 years old and doing something you love than be 80 years old and regret your entire life. Reason #2 Big huge companies like Blockbuster and Borders Books got put out of business by people like you and me. The entire TV, radio, newspaper game is done. It's YouTube, It's podcasts, And it's blogs. So if you know your stuff and you're good enough or you're willing to put in the hours to honing in your craft, you could turn into the number one source that people go to online on the topic that you choose. Reason #3 The internet is still super young. There are not many people on it, even though you might think that YouTube is massively saturated and there's no room for you. There is plenty of room. I can promise you that the internet is in its infancy. If you take advantage of it now, you will be very happy later on down the line when there is no more real estate to grab up. Okay, here's how we do it. If you've never done this before, grab your phone start recording videos, your first fifty to a hundred videos are really gonna suck but these are super important because it helps you find your voice it helps you get comfortable on camera and it really helps you learn how to edit. The entire goal of this project over 2020 this to see how much you can grow using social media as your platform, as your soapbox to stand on it spread your word. The reason I chose video is because I like being on camera and I'm good at talking and I like editing. So this is a massively crazy goal to do a video every single day for an entire year. Don't feel bad if you don't get a video done every single day. My plan, my structure of doing this is, on Sunday, film seven episodes, just talk for two three four hours to the camera, and then over the week I will have something to edit every single day. The concept behind this is once my mind starts rolling on ideas, they just keep flowing out and I can get them all on camera in one day. It's going to be a lot of footage to sift through each day, but it's worth it. Time blocking, very important. So how I want to set this up is on my website. I'm going to have a sign-up sheet. If you want to take part in this challenge put in your name and your YouTube channel. I'm going to create a bracket. It doesn't matter how many subscribers you have right now. If you're is zero or two thousand or fifty thousand we're all going to start and we're only going to measure on the amount of subscribers gained over the course of this one year challenge. The tracking is going to be updated every single week. So 52 times. At the end of every single week. You're going to see the numbers grow. Basically, the whole point of this is to get you out there on social media for you to become the voice of the topic that you choose whether it's Mountain biking, Fishing or bowling or Billiards or crochet. You are going to be the voice that speaks to everyone on this topic because you're passionate about it, because you love it, and because your opinion matters.
