Read below for some opinions on the shot and route! Opinions: Ignoring my poor performance on Patchouli, I do think this is the better Reimu shot type to use. You get a pretty good spread and the needles can do some great damage as well (not as much as Marisa but ya know). You can have some really nice stage sections like with ReimuA although you have to play a bit more aggressively to hit some of the far out enemies. However some sections like the first half of Stage 3 can go just as well as ReimuA and that's a win in my book. The extra damage to take down spells in Meiling and Patchouli is easily worth it in my opinion so long as you don't mind being slower than either Marisa shot. I guess my hot take would be that if you were playing EoSD for your first 1CC I'd suggest ReimuB over any other shot type.
