While Cypress Hill’s debut album laid the foundation, The Chronic cemented cannabis as a fixture in the hip-hop world for decades to come with over six million sales and also propelled Snoop Doggy Dogg, one of the most iconic marijuana-related rappers in the world, into the spotlight. These days it’s hard not to find hip-hop artists that haven’t in some way or another associated themselves with cannabis and other popular recreational drugs.
