Armodio - “Alchimie Rinascimentali e Visioni Surreali”

Bernabò Home Gallery presenta Alchimie Rinascimentali e Visioni Surreali a cura di Silvia Bonomini Evento dedicato al Maestro Armodio a Barga (LU) in Piazza Angelio Bernabò Home Gallery presents “Renaissance alchemy and Surreal Visions” Edited by Silvia Bonomini Event dedicated to Master Armodio in Barga (LU) in Piazza Angelio BIO Armodio was born in Piacenza on 04/10/1938. His training depends not so much on attending the "Gazzola" Art Institute of his city, as on the meeting with the painter Luciano Spazzali, whose studio is the place conducive to experimentation and contamination. Here he met the painter Gustavo Foppiani, first a teacher and then a street partner; the two worked together and later joined the painter Carlo Bertè who would divide the studio until 1980. Thus was formed that free grouping animated by curiosity towards the most varied manifestations of culture, intent on reading reality under the sign of irony and prone to playful transgression. The first staff in Piacenza is from 1963 at the Genocchi Gallery in Piacenza and in 1964, thanks to Foppiani, the Obelisk in Rome lands at the gallery. In the sixties the painter stayed for a short period in London and collaborated with the American Lily Shepley and later with the Forni Gallery in Bologna. While in 1972 it is the meeting with Philippe Guimiot, who opens his gallery in Brussels to the artist, thus starting a fruitful collaboration. From that moment most of his paintings enter important private collections in Europe as well as in the USA. After a period with the Gian Ferrari Gallery in Milan, Armodio lands at the Braga Gallery in Piacenza; after that experience, he works exclusively first with the L'Immagine Gallery in Arezzo then with the Marescalchi Gallery in Bologna. Currently, his artistic production is treated exclusively by prestigious galleries at national and international level.
