Horizon Yachts’ FD Series lineup welcomes a new member: the FD90 Hull 33, christened LiTHIUM+. This yacht is the second to be owned by the same family and builds on the legacy of the original LiTHIUM. The lithium namesake is a nod to the family’s connection to the mining industry, and its design centres around a warm and inclusive environment that embodies the family’s core values. Prioritising generous volume and comfort, LiTHIUM+ features a full-beam, on-deck master stateroom and four ensuite VIPs, plus two crew cabins for up to five crew members, including a Captain’s cabin. The main deck’s galley-aft layout creates an open, flowing space that extends seamlessly to the outdoor living spaces aft. Up top, the hydraulic folding radar mast makes room for passing bridges. Customization and Comfort The main deck aft features customized shoe storage on the port side, while the central space offers a social area that seats eight around a large table. The starboard side includes an ice maker and a Rhino double-door refrigerator. Through sliding doors, the main salon reveals a soothing ambience that is echoed by the interior’s signature fluidly curved light fixture overhead. Aesthetic-wise, bleached teak is used as the primary wood, beautifully complemented by warm white lacquer and Herringbone Cadorin Rock oak floors throughout. A striking piece born from a CNC-machined structure, the lighting fixture’s flowing form was brought to life by the hands of skilled artisans. This blend of technical skill and handicraft is more than just effective lighting—it subtly showcases the shipyard’s refined approach to tailoring designs. An 85-inch TV is centrally positioned in the salon and is flanked by fluted glass display cabinets, while, portside, an LED-backlit display of raw lithium ore pays homage to the family’s heritage. All furniture pieces in the salon and dining area— from the L-shaped sofa and side table to the ten-seat dining table and accompanying chairs—have a rounded-edge design that resonates with the overhead light fixture’s curvilinear form. Further aft, the open galley features a Taj Mahal quartzite countertop and three bar stools. The owners opted for a Zip HydroTap, appreciating its versatility in providing boiled, chilled, sparkling, and filtered water. A full-height cool room and a Vintec beverage centre are positioned to starboard. Sauna and Storage Forward in the bow, the master stateroom occupies the yacht’s full beam. A simple warm-white colour scheme creates a tranquil setting featuring a king-size bed and a wood slat panel headboard with Taj Mahal quartzite accents on either side. Overhead, oval-shaped lighting illuminates this space. A portside 55-inch swing-out TV offers entertainment flexibility. The master ensuite features Taj Mahal quartzite and satin nickel fixtures as well as an LED-backlit mirror cabinet. A standout feature is the cypress timber sauna room with chromotherapy LED lights located on the starboard side. Guest accommodations on the lower deck are accessed via a starboard stairwell positioned opposite the salon. The layout here comprises mirrored VIPs amidship, a portside forward VIP, and another VIP in the bow, each outfitted with queen-size beds and 43-inch TVs. Notably, the forward VIP suite maximizes storage with an electrically actuated lift for the bed base, aided by a gas-assisted telescopic rod. The generous use of stone throughout the ensuites creates a sense of airy brightness. Entertainment Central In the pilot house aboard LiTHIUM+, three Pompanette helm chairs finished in Ermine Ultraleather are positioned atop Cadorin Rock oak flooring. This enclosed space is also equipped with a convertible L-shaped sofa, a table, and a dayhead. Sliding doors access the open skylounge, which offers a Hi-Lo sliding table, U-shaped seating, a Rhino three-door refrigerator, and an ice maker to starboard. Situated to port is a whole host of amenities for outdoor entertainment, including a bar with three bar stools, a beer chiller, a teppanyaki grill, and a 43-inch TV. A central circular Jacuzzi tub is accompanied by a wet bar and four ottomans. Ample space for tender and stowage is accommodated on the boat deck, while the foredeck provides another lounging and dining area with an sliding table.
