I have been visiting Sanare (a small coffee town in Lara) for more than 20 years, when Manuel Saavedra was just starting his restaurant El Encanto and the only inn was Los Cerritos, built in 1979 for a project of the white villages of the Venezuelan Andes. There is still the inn, but the rest has not been concluded. After 22 years leaving his vomit in the seas of the world as a merchant marine, Manuel Saavedra all he could think about was finishing collecting money to return to his town and have an inn. He finally did it, a little above his restaurant and then many followed him, although at the time they all thought he was crazy. Each entrepreneur who came to Sanare with plans to make a posada had the generous support of Manuel, this man from Sanare convinced of the benefits of the town where he was born and grew up. This is how a group that works as a team was formed to make Sanare a model of generous tourism for all of Venezuela. A few years ago they created a cluster to combine tourism and coffee because this municipality is the largest coffee producer in Venezuela. Now they want to become the largest producer of specialty coffee in the country. You will never see such well-designed signage anywhere in the country and the cluster has done it with its own income. Each inn, restaurant or park on the routes has indications with kilometers and names. The symbol is the Zaragozo that appears. In addition, Sanare has the lush mountains of the Yacambú National Park and a famous fumarole that has never been taken advantage of. In the desert part is the Yay Sink, with an exotic landscape of gullies product of erosion. Now tomatoes are grown for all that, there are also those who raise goats and make cheese and oregano grows wild and is super aromatic. Coffee producers participate in the cluster to combine coffee and tourism, the first coffee route already exists at Posada La Golondrina and several innkeepers began to grow coffee. Every December 28 is the festival of the Zaragozos. The colonial town of El Cerrito was recovered by the members of the cluster and in April 2023 the first coffee exhibition was organized with the participation of more than 40 local producers. Everything seems to indicate that Sanare is an example of generous tourism for all of Venezuela. ✅ SUBSCRIBE so you can continue traveling with Valentina Quintero: / @valendeviaje ✅ Instagram: / valendeviaje ➡️ Instagram of the inns in Sanare @posadaelecanto @altosdeveracruz @posadalasgolondrinas @mozaikosposada @santaeduvigesposada 📌Director/Dp: Branimir Caleta - @caletadp 📌Journalist/General Production: Valentina Quintero - @valendeviaje 📌Sound Edward Nogales - @nogalesrob 📌Post production Gustavo Mendoza - @el.tasto Alexander Ramirez @damianjr23 📌Graphic design Stephanye Cuellar - @stephanye._ 📌Motion Graphics Andrés Ungaro - @gazoo69 📌YouTube Optimization Team: Barbara Mongou - @barbaramongou Ricardo Miranda - @popinteractivo 📌 Digital Media Manager: Adeimar Bastidas
