In this Ionic Framework Tutorial for Beginners 2021, we are going to look at how to use the Ionic action-sheet component in Ionic Angular. First we create a new Ionic 5 project using the Angular Framework. Then we create an ion-button that when clicked invokes a function that launches our ion-action-sheet component. Next, we import the ActionSheetController class from @ionic/angular. The, we create an asynchronus function that defines our action sheet. We give our action sheet a title, and we experiment with some properties including animation, keyboardclose, backdropDismiss etc. We then give our actionsheet a set of buttons including those with a close & destructive role. Finally, we go through an example of how to use the ion-sction-sheet onWillDismiss & onDidDismiss lifecycle methods to run arbitrary code before and after dismissing an instance of the Ionic Action Sheet component.
