With a total of 15 inches of snow we were stranded for days waiting for highways to open and roads to be plowed. These types of severe weather conditions can be dangerous to camp in if you aren't prepared with multiple ways to stay warm while camping. Surviving the coldest nights camping comes with challenges like harvesting wood to burn in the tiny cubic mini wood stove, making sure diesel fuel is topped off for the 2kw HCalory diesel heater, heavy winter blankets, and preventative measures to keep waterlines from freezing. During this winter camping video in real life Mike BBQs up delicious ribeye steak and lobster tail to stay warm and cozy by the fire. I learn that with this much snow on my camper roof I no longer have a in the skylight which could have caused issues in the future if I ever went truck camping in heavy rain!! While holding out and waiting for a forecasted winter snow storm with sub freezing temperatures to subside, I learn what winter upgrades I need before ever surviving living full-time in a truck camper.
