“Reentry: SpaceX, Elon Musk, and the Reusable Rockets that Launched a Second Space Age” with Eric Berger, Author and Senior Space Editor, Ars Technica On October 13, as we marveled at the sight of SpaceX’s 233-foot tall Super Heavy booster steering itself back to the launch gantry and being captured by the “Mechazilla” system, we witnessed a technological feat that even now seemed out of reach. This breathtaking display, the fifth test flight of Starship-Super Heavy, solidified SpaceX’s pioneering advantage in reusable rocket technology—a breakthrough that has set it miles ahead in the aerospace industry. How did SpaceX, a company founded just 22 years ago, come to redefine what’s possible in spaceflight and transform the launch market? Join us for an illuminating Space Forum with Eric Berger, Senior Space Editor at Ars Technica and author of Reentry: SpaceX, Elon Musk, and the Reusable Rockets that Launched a Second Space Age. Eric will walk us through SpaceX’s incredible evolution from a shaky startup in 2008 to an industry powerhouse that’s making Elon Musk’s vision of humanity as a multi-planetary species a tangible goal. In this special space forum, Eric will share behind-the-scenes stories and some of the surprising insights he uncovered while writing Reentry and Liftoff, his two books on SpaceX and its mercurial founder. After his presentation, Eric will take your questions on topics ranging from his two books, SpaceX, and to the future of spaceflight. Prepare for an engaging session as we delve into the innovations, challenges, and breakthroughs that have defined SpaceX’s journey.
