JANA BOUŠKOVÁ & HANA MÜLLEROVÁ play DUO by JAN KŘTITEL KRUMPHOLZ Two Czech harpists ,(both former students of Libuše Váchalová at the Prague Conservatory) , Jana Boušková and Hana Müllerová recorded in 1996 complet of 3 CDs including the music by Jan Krtitel Krumpholz - 6 Harp Concertos (2 CD Jana Boušková) and Symphonies for Harp (1 CD Hana Müllerová). All 3 CDs were recorded for the recording company Clarton. In 1997 has the TV invited these two harpists to meet on one place together and play one Duo by J.K.Krumpholz for the TV document. So it has happened that you can listen to this beautiful music, which has not been ever recorded by these two harpists but we have the treasure thanks to the TV to listen to it and watch as well. Jana Boušková is the 1st Prize winner of the USA International Harp Competition 1992 as well as 2nd Prize winner of the Israel International Harp Contest same year (1992) she has other 1st prices from competitions in Italy and France and many other awards from Czech Republic as well abroad. She is performing worldwide as a soloist as well as the Principal harpist of the Czech Philharmonic where she took the position in 2005. Besides her solo career she is also the harp professor at three universities- Royal College of Music in London, Royal Conservatory in Brussels and Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. -Hana Müllerová is one of the main harpist of the Czech Republic who won in 1986 the Foundation Prize of Ruth Lorraine in USA. She is the principal harpist of the Prague Symphony Orchestra since 1990 and also since 1996 she teaches at the Music High School in Prague. She has four children and three of the daughters play harp as well. There exists their family Harp Quartet PRAH-A-HARP
