'Putin just doesn't want to end the war' - Trump renews critique of Russia ahead of Zelensky meeting

Speaking to reporters at the White House, US President Donald Trump again criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump made the remarks Tuesday when hosting Argentina's Javier Milei for a bilateral lunch, three days ahead of Ukrainian President Zelensky's visit. The possibility of the US shipping Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine became one of the hot topics. Trump recently described Russia a "paper tiger," a metaphor that has been swiped back by Putin. The Russian head further warned that a potential US decision to supply Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine might "ruin the positive trend" in Russia-US relations. Following the Gaza deal, which marks the eighth war that Trump has touted as stopped, the Kremlin now heads on to pressure the US president on Ukraine.
