In this episode of my solo ASKA survival playthrough, the weather turns restless and the night has plans of its own. While organizing camp and upgrading storage, I decide to try something new and head to the water to fish. After a confusing start, I finally realize the obvious problem — I never equipped the bait. The moment berry hits hook, the river comes alive and dinner is secured. Good timing, as it turns out. A sudden storm rolls across the coastline soon after. I light the fire, take shelter, and prepare for a long siege from the sky… only for it to pass almost as quickly as it arrived. A false alarm, or so it seems. When evening falls, dark clouds gather again. The routine repeats: flames, food, and a quiet place to sit while the wind performs beyond the walls. Then the moon rises red. Three wights emerge from the darkness, turning a peaceful night into a desperate defense of the homestead. Axe in hand and at least grateful for a full stomach, I meet them outside the fence. The fight is won, though not without a few painful reminders that survival is never guaranteed. Sleep comes quickly after. Morning brings something far less deadly but no less persistent: another gathering of hungry Smolkr. This time the fence does its job, leaving them to bleat and stare from beyond the boundary while I continue the slow work of improving camp. No commentary, just immersive survival, ambient sound, and the quiet rhythm of life in the wild… interrupted now and then by chaos.
