Here's another one of my favorites - I just love the SMG games/soundtracks! I've been working on this one for quite a while! I started the final mix at 5am this morning, and I wouldn't rest until I posted it. :) I tried new things and was inspired vocally by the spacey feeling of the song. While in space, I added references to other Mario songs on both piano and vocals (both of which I've covered before!) I even played a bit of this melody in my Rainbow Road cover and wanted to do a full version since then. In the very beginning/end, I added a vocal harmony inspired by Aivi Tran's piano version of this song a while back ~ instead of playing that harmony on piano, I sang it. I love her music!
