Palestinian medical students graduate in Gaza

The Palestinian Ministry of Health hosted a graduation ceremony for medical students that obtained the Palestinian Board Certification to become doctors. The ceremony was held outside al-Shifa medical complex on Thursday for the 169 graduates. Families gathered among the rubble to watch the graduates accept their certificates with music, speeches and a dance performance. However, not every family was there to celebrate. Several students were killed in Israel’s war on Gaza before completing their studies. The families of those students were invited to commemorate their loved ones and recognise their achievements. Empty chairs were laid out for each one, displaying their photo, name and specialty. Support stories that matter.
