This wouldn't be a problem if all the parts were metal, but unfortunately, it's usually a combination of plastic and metal. Recommend targeted-boiling with rolling hot water than a heat gun to reduce the risk of warping any plastic parts. Please ask about any specific models, as some are designed differently, even with the same flash hider type. Some of them aren't threaded at all, but rather pinnned in to the barrel, even CYMA are pinned in place, but those are usually the "full-metal" models. Please ask for help before trying to perform this! The die-cast zinc-alloy used here is terribly fragile!
