REBIBBIA ON THE WALL by Walls with Agostino iacurci - 2011

REBIBBIA ON THE WALL 2.0 (third phase) - A public art project in the high security prison area “Rebibbia on the Wall 2.0″ is one of the winning projects of “Iniziative Creative” – a contest promoted by the Province of Rome – and was born as the direct sequel of the first artistic intervention (“Rebibbia on the Wall”) made in 2010 on one of the walls of the walk section G12 (in the High Security Zone of Rome’s prison, Rebibbia). This time Agostino Iacurci comes back to Rebibbia to work in the football field with fifteen inmates. This successful alchemy it's been conveyed in the revolution of a connecting prison area, every prisoner has dealt with a part of the composition, a circumstance that has produced a special affection and an intense debate within the section. Four months of teamwork to create a sort of universal stadium without any boundaries. Moreover, a book and a documentary have been produced, so as to witness this unique experience in Italy for its participatory characteristics as well as for the importance of its aesthetic value.
