"Stunt Double," set to release on Alien Orders on 15/03/24, follows the footsteps of its predecessor, "Home," but with a more direct punch. With a relentless beat, piercing guitar lines, and reverberating vocals, "Stunt Double" packs a punch. But what sets this track apart is its absurdly entertaining lyric, narrating the monologue of a washed-up stuntman stuck in mundane retirement while name-checking action movie stars like Vinnie Jones, Bruce Willis, and Jean Claude Van Damme. Guitarist Rob Cross shared insight into the song's creation process, explaining, "The music was created on a whim, just jamming along to a programmed drum loop. The lyrics came from visualizing explosions and action movie clips, giving the song its unique flavor." Following the unexpected success of "Home," which garnered attention from prominent stations like BBC Introducing, Radio X, and Amazing Radio, Shines are hopeful that "Stunt Double" will elevate their profile ahead of a potential album release in May.
