Before the glue-up all 3 of the boards to make this "Wood Sandwich" were cut, ripped and plane to intentionally oversized so the final sizing of the finish Posts for this bed could be made with the 1 1/4" TPI blade on a Jet 18" Bandsaw. This brings back a "rustic" appearance and feel and also hides the center board a bit. In this video I demonstrate how I did the final bandsawing to bring the posts to 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" This is a series of videos documenting the build of multiple prototypes for "MikroRails and "MikroPosts", multi-board GlueUp techniques for Post and Rail woodworking methods common to the building of beds, bunks and dorm-room lofts.
