Palworld - How To Unlock The Lunker Hunter Achievement! 🎣 Details In The Description!

In order to unlock the Lunker Hunter achievement, you must reel in 1 Lunker while fishing. Fishing is a new mechanic that you can do since the Tides of Terraria update went live yesterday (6/25/2025). Fishing Rods and Bait were added to the Technology tab of the Inventory. There are weaker versions of the rod and bait, but I got the Alluring Bait at level 52 (this seems very helpful since it increases the number of items when fishing as well as enlarges the bar in the minigame), and the Advanced Fishing Rod at level 45, which states makes catches vastly easier. The resource cost to make the items isn't bad at all and they are consisted of easily obtainable ingredients. Once you have the Rod and Bait, you need to find spots to fish. Cruise around beaches and such, and you will eventually find fishing spots. What you want to look for is a purple shimmer in the water. This indicates good Pals to fish in these spots. Once you have found some purple shimmery spots, look for one with a short, purple beam of light going upwards. These spots seem to be the Lunker fishing spots, and are harder to catch. Cast your line and make sure to land it near a Pal. Once the Pal gets curious, it will swim up to the Bait. Wait for it to take the Bait, and you will see exclamation marks appear. When this happens, press the button prompt to reel in your line! This will start the fishing minigame, and a bar and meter will now be seen on-screen. The meter is the tension of the line. If the meter becomes depleted, the fish will break the line. Underneath the meter is a bar with a fish and a green zone. To make the green zone go right, you have to hold the reel button. To make it go left, stop reeling. The goal of this minigame is to keep the fish in the green zone long enough to fill the meter above the bar up all the way. This will cause you to catch the fish! The fish will move on the meter back and forth, and while it is outside of the green zone, it will deduct charge from the meter above the bar, so you want to try and keep the fish inside the green zone as much as possible. Once you have caught the fish, if it happens to be a Lunker, the achievement will unlock!
