In this video we're taking a look at the effects of the FU Tone Block and whether or not it increases sustain. I tried searching online for any factual information and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so I've taken it upon myself to share my own method. This block specifically, is for an Ibanez Edge bridge. Guitar: Ibanez RG320FM Parts: New OEM parts essentially changing from chrome to black, frets changed to stainless steel, Fender 3 way switch, Fender output jack bridge: Ibanez Edge Bridge Pickups: Stephen Carpenter (Deftones) Signature Fishman Fluence 6 string active pickups with push/pull pots Strings: I used one set of new Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings for the before AND after test, on the bridge pickup, push/pull pot in the pushed in setting which is slightly boosted, and trying to apply the same amount of pressure for each recording. There is a clear difference regardless of my playing. Hope it helps anyone looking at getting a new block!
