This "Challenge" was born out the fact that I needed more wood for my campfires this winter and I wanted to test out some of the axes we sell. The idea is that I would grab any 10, unsplit logs from my wood pile and then see how long it takes the axe to process them down into what I'd consider "useable firewood." For most of these rounds that just means quartering them. The other main constraint I had for this challenge was the fact that I wasn't going to race myself. I want to treat this like I would any other splitting session. Which means, for the most part... Taking my time, picking my swings, and sweating more than any normal human should. I'm going to keep doing this with multiple axes we sell and then might branch out to axes we don't! I also have a bunch of heads that I can hang and get back into action. So stay tuned! Using an axe is always dangerous and a series of calculated risks. Remember that when you get tired you get sloppy and to stay aware of your surroundings when using an axe. Also I'm not looking for a form check or really any kinds of tips so thanks in advance for keeping your keyboard coaching to yourself!
