Skating is cool but being a skater is not extreme until you make it to so in Extreme Skater, you better be ready to take it up a notch if you want your friends to be jealous of your really awesome abilities. You will be guiding the skater boy as he makes his way through the crazy loops and slopes that nature has provided for him, and there are plenty of things to do to make each level different from the last one, and each of them you'll surely enjoy. This is goal oriented extreme skating and there will be a checklist of things that you have to do so you better pay attention to them so you can score some more points. First off, the speed cannot be controlled in this game so you will just go as fast as the physics allow you. You will move faster downhill and slow down a little when going up slope, and sometimes there are places that you need to make a huge leap or you will fall into a deep pit or perhaps into rows of deadly spikes, and if your momentum is not good enough, you can just solve this dilemma with a timed jump right before the cliff to reach a further distance. You can lean with your character to the left or right so he can perform back or front flips in continuous combinations which will give him extra points, and of course perfect landings will score you some too so be sure to check your balancing. There are three objectives for you to do in each level and sometimes doing one of them will make another undoable so you may have to restart the whole level to be able to achieve them all, although it is not compulsory but for the perfectionists out there you might want to try and achieve all of them. There are also gold coins that you can pick up in each level, and these gold coins are still different from the points that you get from doing stunts and achieving goals and etc. These gold coins can be used in the main menu to be able to buy new content for the game like new skateboards, new riders, new tricks, and even buy "skips" so if there is a level that is giving you a hard time, you can give that one the skip and you won't have to deal with it anymore. Of course overcoming a challenge with skills is much more satisfying than finishing the whole game with skips. There are plenty of objects that make each level unique like loops in one level, sharp tooth and totems in the next, and interacting with some of them could also be listed in the goals so you really will have to try out what you can do with these objects. The game is fun for gamers who enjoy these kinds of games, and with that good music, anyone can groove while being the extreme skater.
