Saturday 17th November 2018 saw the Railway Touring Company tour 'The York Yuletide Express' work from Ealing Broadway to York and return, operated by West Coast Railways. The out bound leg was hauled by the Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust owned Princess Coronation Class No. 6233 Duchess of Sutherland, and was captured by our cams at Bedford and York South. The return leg saw a locomotive swap with A4 Class No. 60009 Union of South Africa taking over and being captured by our York South, Bedford and Flitwick Cams. 1Z57 Ealing Broadway to York with 6233 Duchess of Sutherland 1Z60 York to Ealing Broadway with 60009 Union of South Africa. We captured some wonderful daylight and evening clips, and we can do it all again in mid December when the tour runs again, but with the locos doing the opposite runs.
