Amazing scratch-built Om gauge layout!

This is the layout of a friend who regularly joins us at the vintage toy train exhibition in Stuttgart-Vaihingen each 1st Advent. It is Om gauge, with rolling stock by Biller-Bahn and Fleischmann Magic Train, a good part of it converted. The whole layout represents a small French town with a narrow gauge line in the Sixties, with the railway in the last phase of its existance and already much-neglected. About everything on this layout has been scratch-built. The houses are scratch-built from corc plates; all figurines are self-made, and my friend can tell you the character and the history of every single one of them. Old toy cars have been converted to move automatically or to radio control. There even is a self-built horse-drawn tramway, a RC stagecoach and a RC horse-drawn wagon, all of them indeed powered by the movement of the horses! And all that in 1/43 scale! The horse-drawn vehicles are most fun to watch. Enjoy! The video was taken in 2018.
