Nyoma is a principal village of southern Ladakh in India, the headquarters of an eponymous subdivision, tehsil, community development block and Indian Air Force Base in the Leh district. Nyoma is home to an Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) of Indian Air Force that was built in 1962 but remained unutilized. It was reactivated in 2009 when an An-32 landed in this airfield. Now the airbase at Nyoma of the Indian Military is fully operational. Lachulung La is a paved motorable mountain pass in Ladakh in India just north of border with Himachal Pradesh. It is located on the NH3 Leh–Manali Highway, 54 km north of Sarchu and 24 km west of Pang. NakeeLa Pass is a mountain in the Zanskar Range. This pass connects the Himachal Pradesh districts of Lahaul and Spiti to the J&K Zanskar Range. The third of five crossings to cross on the way from Manali to Leh is the Nakee la Pass. It is located between Sarchu and Pang. Because of the poor road conditions, even the most experienced drivers must exercise extreme caution behind the wheel.
