Three Missions with this video: 1) To have fun and hope folks who either watch or pick up the hobby do as well 2) Show These OLDER Husqvarna 562 saw parts make for a great "Puzzle" and a very useful tool as well 3) Show That ALL this can be done w/o CST or dealer intervention. Any one can work on these saw. In fact Autotune isn't a "deterrent" but infact helps make this work. 4) Show the big difference between Husqvarna 555 Cases and Crank Shafts and the 562's 5) Show SOME of the Husqvarna 562 Crank Case Evolution & Changes As They Upgraded & Developed This Series Over the years. The older versions of 562 were tagged with a bad rap because of the FIRST iteration. Husqvarna 562 did infact go through "teething" issues. That new saw layout and design had , for lack of a better phrase; "Heat Management" issues. They persisted right through the 2016-17 time frame and got loud attention on the saw forums. But 2013-14 they were pretty solid for MOST of us, but still had issues with hot start and a few mechanical things like pistons. By 2016 they were statistically a solid saw and the improvements from Husqvarna HAS continued to the point they are really good saws. All true. BUT most of us in the climates I work in will never see those issues even on the older versions. And they are a light and very fast saw. Lots of fun. AS the early ones either failed or had parts "up dated" lots of used saws and parts have come onto the market or sit in loggers barns & trucks ONE step away from the trash....enter Hill Top Saw Shop Video's. While its true some of those parts SHOULD continue their trek to the scrap heap, many are JUST fine and will make for a great firewood or part time saw. I've built 2 so far, this one with mostly throw away parts and some of the "less" desirable part. Doesn't make her a bad saw. :) SO let's see...over this next saw season if this collection of miss fit parts can generate fun and firewood! NOTE: After a bunch of questions, Contact me on Facebook Group "Chainsaws & Woods Craft" or on "forestryforum.com" ( screen name "weimedog" ) if you are interested in the tools I build ALSO Started a "FaceBook" Page "Husqvarna Autotunes Only" for those who want to get into the discussion of CST and the more technical side of Autotunes
