My parents' new home has a back porch that's sinking! Whoever installed the posts—I hope a DIYer, because I would hate for someone to have paid a pro for this—just set them on patio pavers rather than pouring concrete footings. The result? They've been slowly sinking into the mud and cracking the pavers. So I built a temporary wall, removed one post at a time, poured new footings, and replaced them.
