Independence Day Celebration with the Theme "Viksit Bharat 2024" Date : 15th August 2024 Venue : SFX SPORTS ASTRO TURF Introduction: On the 15th of August 2024, St Francis Xavier's High School, Naigaon west celebrated the Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Viksit Bharat 2024,” reflecting the nation's vision of a developed and progressive India. The event was organized with a series of activities that highlighted the achievements and future aspirations of our country. Event Overview: The event was marked by speeches, prize distribution, and cultural programmes that highlighted the importance of this significant day in the history of our nation. Preparations:The preparations for the event began well in advance. Students and staff members were actively involved in rehearsing for cultural performances, speeches, and other activities that were planned for the day. As part of the celebrations, a team of selected students were assigned escorting duties to ensure the smooth and organized flow of the event. Escorting and Welcoming: The escorting team played an essential role in the successful execution of the Independence Day celebrations. Welcoming of Manager Sir and Principal Madam by the teacher was a dignified and heartfelt gesture that added to the significance of the Independence Day celebrations. Flag Hoisting Ceremony:The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by our Manager Sir, followed by the National Anthem. The atmosphere was charged with patriotism as everyone saluted the flag and sang in unison. Manager’s Message: Our Manager Sir, then addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the theme "Viksit Bharat 2024" and how it aligns with our collective efforts towards nation-building. Mass drill event: The mass drill performed by the students was a display of discipline, coordination, and unity, reflecting the spirit of teamwork and patriotism among the students. Principal‘s Message: The Principal emphasized, in her speech, the significance of Independence Day as a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless individuals to secure our freedom. She spoke passionately about the theme "Viksit Bharat," urging everyone to work towards the vision of a developed India. Speech cum Slogans: The speech and slogans by the primary students were a memorable part of the Independence Day celebrations . Their participation not only added vibrancy to the event but also reinforced the importance of nurturing a sense of patriotism and responsibility from a young age. Headgirl’s speech: The Head girl of the school, delivered a heartwarming speech on the theme "Viksit Bharat." The speech was simple yet impactful, reflecting the students' understanding of what it means to be a responsible citizen of a developing nation. Prize Distribution: The prize distribution ceremony commenced immediately after the speeches.The importance of balancing academics with extracurricular activities was emphasized, both the academic awards, and the sports achievers were honored and the students were encouraged to continue pursuing their passions with the same zeal.
