More of the same relative to last video, This time with much better dodging and 100% less egg!! Clear time since itachi asked: (from moving character until boss explosion): 12:38 White Drakes are practically pocket legendary pets in terms of health healing that last a minute. So far we've been using at least one of these to survive the final core phase because it is a huge pain to survive, with shots that take off at least 10% of your health each, while also inflicting a status effect inviting either 0 DPS on the cores prolonging the phase, or even more damage taken. (Textwall on cracking that phase at the bottom) This run was absolutely stellar and i'm very happy with it! The only thing that posed as the slightest slip-up was the 2-core phase, because I saw no opportunity to immediately begin damaging cores and hence had to wait in a corner for them to fly by lowering their health as they do. Not to mention how the stars aligned with the final core phase. I came prepared for far worse (remaining consumables) but everything fell in place so well :). Had to wait a bit to get a damaging opportunity on the inner core which worried me but I got it at the end of the 2nd dex effusion! As far as I'm aware, this is the first run that features 0 drake eggs used to no-pet the colossus. Elizaveta) 4:12 Rootkit - Do It 7:50 TwoThirds - Bring It Back On the difficulty of passing the final cores phase: As it turns out, this crucial core phase, being the only one that demanded white drakes so far, has more elements to it than just very accurate dodging. From my attempts (2 without a pet, a handful exploratory ones with a pet) It becomes apparent that this phase is a HUGE dice roll with the outcomes having a ridiculous range of difficulty / ease! "Do you, or do you not, get the opportunity to damage the inner core" is what you're praying to RNG for. A dex effusioned warrior getting a clear shot on the inner core flying by can take off 75% of the things health if not more. The difficulty in this is that generally, the rotation of the 300 damage lasers either is in sync or opposite of this core. If it's opposite it flies by in your range for only a few seconds, and the damage you deal to it if any will not be much. Additionally, due to being so close to the boss, weak / daze bullets being present can nullify any damage you were going to deal. Even if the core aligns perfectly with the rotation, chances are you are currently near one of the four towers spewing bullets. They can block you from going in by yet another dice roll since they pick from a random status effect doing a random pattern (ranging from only two bullets per shot to 12ish of them) Additionally, since they also randomly choose which debuff to shoot just like the 2 mbc rocks, you can have up to 6 unique status effects being fired at you at one time! The best you can do against this is get a lot of DPS and destroy any towers in your path asap, maximizing your moments that you can approach the inner core, and hence maximizing your dice rolls that you will align with it and deal damage. I had 1 minute worth of dex effusion and the clock was ticking. Aside from that, ''just'' dodge literally everything and hope you don't get awful combos such as daze + weak, curse + armor piercing , or just anything with slow cuz slow ruins your day. If you do 'just''' dodge better. You snooze you lose! Hopefully this drives home the idea that your difficulty in the phase is largely dependent on a couple of random elements on top of your own ability. It was quite frustrating to gather dex effusions for a week+ and eventually have luck bee a deciding factor. Rip 1 crystal sword :(
