A Shepherd's Heart (Webcast) - Dr. Siva Moodley

God is raising up good shepherds in Christians. A dying world is looking for the love of Jesus. In John 10 our Lord Jesus Christ speaks about the role of the Great Shepherd and the role of the hireling. Many people think that this scripture only refers to church leaders or the Work of the Lord on the Cross. In reality this scripture refers to the two types of believers, those who are shepherds and those who are hirelings. A good shepherd believer is one who is willing to lay down their life (time, energy, resources) for the lost. They are the ones who, when everyone else is too busy, are visiting/ mentoring/ encouraging their brothers or sisters in the Lord. This is not just the job of a pastor but everyone who calls themselves a Christian. A hireling also shepherds them. Yet when satan attacks, the hireling deserts the sheep. The hireling is not prepared to pay the price in protecting the sheep and would rather see the sheep destroyed. The bible tells us that 87% of the disciples that followed Jesus fell from Grace (Luke 10:1,17, John 6:67-70). If 87% left Jesus, how many will satan steal from the Glory of God in today's church.
