Social mobilization in Georgia: Imereti

An initiative by UN Women and the Taso Foundation in support of social mobilization, implemented to empower women and communities in four regions of Georgia, has revived village life in Imereti. The women involved in this initiative, who had been striving for development, turned their traditional and favourite pursuits into profitable businesses. They managed to get like-minded women to engage in women’s entrepreneurship and activism, making the prospects for improved conditions a reality. Get acquainted with the women from Imereti who make every effort to make rural life more popular and diverse.
