In this video I show you how I fixed the humming sound coming from the speakers on a Bose Wave Radio AWR1-2W. The cause was faulty / leaked capacitors on the main board but it’s advised to replace all the mini capacitors on both the main board and the daughter board. Apparently Bose used some faulty caps back in the 90’s from what I’ve read. I purchased the following capacitor kit form Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09Q2QWW5... Sorry there’s no footage of me removing the caps, I thought I’d pressed record and I hadn’t. Below are the capacitors I replaced but you may find you need to replace more or less. CAPS REPLACED C113 = .1uf - 50v C116, C120, C213 = 1uf - 50v C149, C224, C225, C404 = 47uf - 16v C202, C209, C212, C252, C506, C510, C511, C983, C984 C985 = 10uf - 16v C433, C502, C504 = .47uf - 50v ALL 105 DEGREES Hope the video helps you and if so please consider subscribing to the channel it would be very much appreciated. youtube.com/c/DARTraderMediaProductio...
