The premiere spot to snorkel with sea turtles. Maho Bay is about a 20 min safari taxi ride from Cruz Bay. The road is windy and steep and I am grateful I did not rent a car. Although someday I would like to visit and rent a jeep so I could explore some remote corners of the Island. So overall I really enjoyed Maho Bay. The beach is pretty narrow and the road is feet away from the water which is great if you need accessibility for some reason. The main attraction is the sea turtles. These turtles are huge and they have clearly been around a while. The tourists don't seem to bother them at all. In fact, I think the remora fish are more of a nuisance than the tourists. Keep a safe distance and remember not to touch the turtles or try to ride them as they do need to come up for air on a regular basis. It was a blast getting up close and personal to these beautiful sea creates. Maho Bay is great for families and the food/bar area is a really nice bonus in case you didn't pack a lunch. #mahobay #turtles #stjohn #usvi
