Carlos Tablada: Prospects for Latin America, Cuba, and the World in the 1990s (English subtitles!)

Carlos Tablada, born in Havana in 1948, is a researcher for the Havana-based Center for the Study of the World Economy and an associate professor at the University of Havana. From 1967 to 1971 he studied and taught in the Philosophy Department of the University of Havana. From 1973 to 1990 he worked as an economic director of Cuban state enterprises while also earning a degree as doctor of economic sciences in 1986. He has traveled extensively, defending Cuba's socialist ervolution, and affirming the right of the Cuban people to chart their own political and economic course independent of imperialist interest. He has given talks and participated in academic conferences and numerous other public forums in Central and South America, Western Europe, the United States, and Canada. He is the author of the book "Che Guevara: Economics and Politics in the Transition to Socialism". This program is from danish television in 1990.
