"Secret Love" is a unique video created by Steve Jameson under his brush name of "Wodin". At one time a few years ago, Steve starting seeing a vision in his mind's eye. It was a vision for an upcoming painting in his series of art inspired by the image and person of Avatar Meher Baba. Steve started seeing a very beautiful, elegant and sophisticated lady sitting at her dressing table, preparing for an evening out with her beloved husband or lover. Steve saw a collection of Limoges boxes on her dresser that reflected different aspects of her life and personality. And he saw rose colored tulips and an old, silver plated mirror. Then Steve saw that as the lady was dreaming of the evening date to come, her spiritual master, Meher Baba, was sitting on her dressing table watching her get ready for her date. Then it seemed that Baba was also her lover and date as well has her husband or human lover. Steve longed for several years to do this painting which is 60"x72" oil on canvas. Finally the time came for him to start painting. As Steve worked on this painting, he felt his mind and body were channeling this special lady. Originally he felt it was all women who love God. He could feel the love of any elegant, lovely lady for both her husband and her spiritual master, Meher Baba. As the weeks of painting passed on, Steve began to think of this lady as the most sophisticated and elegant lady he knew, one of his very close and dear spiritual masters. It was none other than the Sufism Reoriented Murshida of the time, Murshida Carol Conner. Steve saw and felt her spirit while painting and later while contemplating the next work to do on the painting. Finally, Steve realized that, without knowingly planning to do so, he had accidentally created a portrait of the spirit and person of Murshida Carol. After the painting was completed, Steve had prints made of it. One day, a few sufi friends were visiting Steve's atelier. Steve loves to offer art prints to visitors as "prasad" or love gift. The idea arose among them to give a print of the "Secret Love" painting to Murshida. One of the visitors agreed to deliver it to her. After receiving the art print, Murshida Carol told Steve it was her most favorite of all his paintings. And Steve had not even told her that he considered the painting to be a portrait of her. So Steve was overwhelmed at the synchronicity that it was her favorite of all his paintings. Steve had an enlarged print to give Murshida. But weeks went by as Steve never had the money for the ornate silver and gold plated, intricately carved frame he envisioned for her special print. In communication with Murshida, Steve told her his plan to give her this larger print. Murshida replied to him that she considered her gift from Steve to be the mere fact that Steve had done the painting at all; still never having been told it was her portrait. Finally Steve had the money to purchase the ornate frame. But Steve was shocked to hear that Murshida had unexpectedly passed away. Her words of appreciation for the painting were among the last of many, many communications between them. After Murshida passed away, Steve suddenly could not see her spirit in his mind's eye as he usually did. It was as if he had blinders on preventing him from seeing her. Finally, after a week, Steve suddenly saw her spirit filling the entire limits of the universe and saw her as having become God the Mother watching over creation. A week later, as Steve was taking a morning shower, he unconsciously invited an acquaintance to visit his studio. But Steve immediately took his thoughts back because he did not fully enjoy this man's ungrounded, slow energy. Steve begged the universe that this man had not heard his inner invitation. But when Steve arrived at his studio that day, no sooner had he opened the door but this man arrived. And he only was a visitor about 3 times in any given year. So this was an amazing coincidence. In conversation he told Steve that Meher Baba had said than anyone conscious of being on the 6th plane of consciousness upon death, received God Realization after death. Suddenly, Steve realized that all the hubbub of wishing he had not internally invited that man's visit was so Steve would notice that the new information the man gave was confirmation to him that his vision of Murshida as Mother God was accurate and true. LYRICS (There is room for only a few stanzas): In her boudoir, soft as twilight, where rose-scents gently play, She brushed her silken hair in dreams of love’s soirée. Warm lamplight kissed her shoulders, doux comme un soir d’été, As thoughts of a tender rendezvous floated on her mind all day. For though she lived with grace, as fair as sweet Kuan Yin, And loved her noble husband, devoted, kind, and true, Her soul held one more lover, veiled deep and cherubin— Hari, Paramatma, Allah, Ahura Mazda, God, Yezdan, Hu.
