I know our accents are off. Don't care - we were high-schoolers. 12:25 am, April 15. The Titanic, not desperate yet, first establishes contact with the Carpathia via Marconi telegraph. No other ship, apart from the Mount Temple, is able to offer help. Getting in touch with the Carpathia gives Harold Bride and John Phillips hope that rescue is possible. The Carpathia was the first on the scene after Titanic had sunk- too long after to save anyone in the water. This clip features the moment the rescue ship is reached. On the left is the scene in the Titanic's wireless room. The right is the Carpathia. This is using footage from my Titanic film "The Last Signals", which focuses on the two telegraph operators of the ship, Harold Bride and John Phillips.
