Maple Syrup continues on the farm while Jen and Justin are away at the 2024 4-H Regional Project Bowl Competition. Alan is holding down the fort and getting a few things done on a toasty early March Saturday. Alan noticed some cracks forming where the bale fork attaches to the skid steer, so he got to work repairing it. After that, he tested his new welds by feeding out some round bales and grabbing the back blade for smoothing out the driveway. The back blade got put on the 820 John Deere and away it went. As the sun was going down, Alan took the Farmall B to get the feeder wagon and feed the dry cows and heifers some silage. Lastly, we checked in with how Justin's competition went.
