Hi friends — this video is a real-time update after overexertion. Content note: This video includes discussion of neurological symptoms and a non-epileptic episode. Yesterday we went for a drive to visit a dear friend, traveling over two mountain passes in one day. While the time together was meaningful, the physical toll on the body showed up afterward in a big way. This video documents an episode involving: Neck instability Vertigo Myoclonus Nervous system overwhelm We had gone nearly 11 days without an episode, but this experience was a reminder that pacing matters and that the body often responds later — not in the moment. We tried supportive measures including heat and cold therapy, CBD for calming, and reducing sensory input. Even with those tools, the body struggled to regulate this time. Sharing this isn’t about fear — it’s about awareness. Living with Functional Neurological Disorder means learning limits through experience, sometimes the hard way. This is part of that learning curve, and part of honoring the body instead of pushing past its signals. If you’re navigating chronic illness, FND, or nervous system dysregulation, you’re not alone. Healing is not linear, and rest is not failure. Thank you for being here and holding space.
