A Hunter Valley Ride around Congewai and Mt Bright on the V-Strom 1000

A local Hunter Valley ride after a bit of a break over Easter and ANZAC weekend followed by a week of rain on the east coast of Australia. I take the V-Strom 1000 soft roader out to the locality of Congewai near Cessnock. Starting the video at Millfield and through Paxton I turn onto Congewai Road where the scenery begins. After encountering a water causeway I wasn't confident on crossing on my own I take a short break on the side of the road and get the bike bogged in the most innocent looking bog hole imaginable. After some mechanical and personal assistance the bike is ready to go again. Lesson learnt! I put the drone up around the Congewai area only to be cut short with a shower of rain, but the footage with the DJI Mini 3 Pro I get is great. Heading back through Millfield I turn onto Mt View Road and ride up to Mt Bright Lookout. Once again the drone comes out and I get some fantastic aerial shots of the area, probably the highlight of the trip for me. From Mt Bright I head back home. The day light hours are getting shorter this time of year.
