This is last of the 5 series of Hòn Vọng Phu Phần 3 Người chinh phu về. The song tells the story of a officer coming home from a war back to his family and his familiar village. As the officer returns back home, he cannot help but notice the landmarks he has passed years earlier on his way to the front. I also have included the American Civil War song "When Johnny Comes Marching Home". It also tells the story of a soldier coming back home after the war. The pictures which accompany the Vietnamese song are from Tan An in the province of Long An. I used to go visit my uncle and his family at Tan An with my father on the way to visit my grandparents, during the war.
