Often times when people are creating dashboards, the shapes that are left on the dashboard are left editable by the dashboard creator leaving the user the ability to move shapes around in the dashboard which can potentially ruin the dashboard functionality. Selecting a range of cells in the dashboard and then selecting protect sheet under the review tab will ensure that the user cannot accidentally move objects around in the dashboard.
