The movement demanding restoration of monarchy in Nepal is gaining momentum. Today, thousands of supporters of the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party took to the streets in Kathmandu. They tried to march to the Parliament of Nepal. But the government had made heavy police arrangements, so there was a fierce clash between the police and the protesters. Actually, protests have been going on in Nepal for the last four days demanding the return of monarchy and declaring Nepal a Hindu nation. Monarchy was abolished in Nepal in 2008, the last king Gyanendra Veer Vikram Shah was removed and a democratic system was implemented in Nepal. But, in the last 17 years, no government in Nepal has been able to complete its term.
