Dr. Koneru is a passionate, and talented dentist who brings his friendly, chair-side manner and great attention to detail to his patients in Charlotte. Growing up in a suburb of Chicago, Dr. Koneru always knew that he wanted to be in the medical field working with the human body but didn’t know exactly what he wanted to focus on. When the time came to decide on a career, one area that had a profound effect on his life was dentistry. He had spent a great deal of time in the dentist chair growing up and always remembered the compassionate, expert care shown to him by his family dentist. It also instilled a sense of confidence that made him realize he too wanted to help others feel the self-assurance of a beautiful smile. After graduating with a B.S. degree in science from University of Iowa, Dr. Koneru went on to receive his Masters degree in Biology from Cleveland State University. He began his dental studies at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) and later became a Fellow at the Implant Pathway. Dr. Koneru strives to provide the highest quality dentistry for his patients through comprehensive, compassionate care. He is as excited today as he was as a young boy about giving his patients confidence through beautiful smiles. Outside of the office, Dr. Koneru loves spending time outdoors, going on hikes, playing tennis, golf, and honing his skills in archery. He also enjoys trying out new cuisines and restaurants.
