Eetti's webinar: Circular Economy and Human Rights in the Garment Industry

Recording of Eetti’s webinar Circular Economy and Human Rights in the Garment Industry, June 12th 2025. During the webinar, we will hear from Irene Lanyero (Uganda Textiles, Garments, Leather, and Allied Workers Union) who will share how the global garment industry affects the daily lives of circular economy workers in Uganda. Using this case, we will discuss what kinds of actions are needed—especially from companies and policymakers—to ensure that workers’ rights are respected in the circular textile and fashion industry. Joining the conversation with Lanyero are Nina Elomaa (Chief Sustainability Officer at S Group), Sirpa Pietikäinen (MEP, Finland) and Anniina Nurmi (Sustainability Manager at Eetti).
