The town attracts visitors looking to experience the country’s natural beauty while enjoying a relaxed coastal atmosphere. However, many travelers choose to stay in the nearby town of Quepos, which offers more affordable accommodation and dining options while remaining just a short bus ride from Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio National Park is the highlight of the area, drawing visitors with its well-maintained trails, diverse wildlife, and pristine beaches. Entry tickets must be purchased online in advance, as they are not sold at the entrance and have limited availability each day. The park enforces strict rules against single-use plastics, so visitors should bring a reusable water bottle to avoid high prices inside. Guided tours are available for those wanting to maximize their chances of spotting wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, and exotic birds.
