Today’s vlog starts from a freezing morning in Taobat, one of the last villages of Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir. I wake up in a cold guest house with my younger brother Ehzaaz, enjoy the sunshine outside, and show the peaceful winter views of Taobat. After a desi kitchen visit and breakfast, we move towards the bank of the River Neelum, where we discuss a bit about the situation across the border in Indian-occupied Kashmir. The main purpose of today’s vlog is to deliver 3–4 cartons of medicines to the local community. We visit respected locals of Taobat, ask them how the medicines should be stored or distributed, and enjoy Kashmiri Noon Chai while listening to the Shina language and cultural stories. Later, we visit the First Aid Post to check where the medicines will be kept. Then we travel towards Bala Taobat on a muddy cold road to pick up the cartons. There, my brothers Ehzaaz and Minna do a fun balloon challenge before we explore the village views. Since we can’t carry the cartons on a bike, we wait for our elder brother with a jeep — but it gets late. So we end the day at our Khala’s house, enjoy desi makai ki roti with dahi, upload the vlog, and wrap up the journey.
