The Public Health Nursing education at LAB University of Applied Sciences gives you good theoretical and practical skills to work as a nursing and health care expert. A large part of Public Health Nurse studies is clinical training in a genuine nursing environment. You will do clinical practice in hospitals, sheltered housing, schools, mental health services and maternity clinics. The language of your studies is English, but we provide several Finnish language courses during your studies. After completing the Bachelor of Health Care degree programme in Public Health Nursing, you can work either as a public health nurse or a registered nurse (RN) throughout the European Union. You can find work for example in maternity and children's counselling, health care for school-aged children and adolescents, occupational health care and home nursing care.
