Pretty close to a year ago from now I showed off a small turret defense game that featured mechs and turrets. I originally designed that to be a singleplayer experience, as, at that time I lacked the knowledge to correctly synchronize larger interactions for multiple clients. Over this past year I have learned so much in terms of programming with C# for games and experiences inside of Massive Loop and developing really fun proofs of concepts and complete games! I wanted to return to this project to apply what I have learned to work on synchronizing all aspects of it to make it multiplayer viable. I am very happy to say that it is becoming more and more multiplayer viable day by day! The mechs are fully synchronized, the turret spawning system and all upgrade interactions and selling functions are synchronized as well. Mechs are capable of being piloted by both Desktop and VR Mode, and there are special VR mechs that you can control the arms with like you're a rock-em-sock-em robot! With these mech concepts, I plan on sharing the code that makes them operate so that others may be able to learn from and hopefully create even better and other fun experiences!
