Today I came to meet Advocate Habeeb Rizwan Al Hashmi, who was attacked yesterday at around 7:20 PM at 99 Mall. He was assaulted by one of the accused persons. Although an FIR has been registered, the Madannapet Police Station has not provided a copy of the FIR to the victim. This delay is unacceptable, especially considering the serious and grave attack on an advocate. The advocates demand that the Telangana Commissioner of Police and the DGP take immediate action against the accused person who attacked the victim, a practicing advocate of the High Court. It has been over 24 hours, yet Madannapet Police Station has not taken any meaningful action. We also thank the media personnel who came forward to take updates from the victim. Only after the matter appeared on media channels did the police respond, realizing that the incident had reached the public domain. Advocate Mohammad Habeeb Ali Khan visited to support Advocate Habeeb Rizwan Al Hashmi, who was attacked within the Madannapet PS limits. Despite the seriousness of the incident, effective action is still pending. The attack occurred on Saturday around 7:30 PM at 99 World Shopping Mall, Edi Bazar. We request immediate action, transparency, and the prompt provision of the FIR copy to the victim, as such delays seriously affect the safety, respect, and dignity of the legal fraternity.
